Students should be willing to dedicate time for practice a few days a week. “Better to practice 10 minutes every day than 10 hours on Saturday,” is the motto! It is recommended that you give lessons a 1-year trial, but you can drop lessons any time with just a 30-day notice.

Have a schedule conflict, illness, or other issue? Reach out 24 hours before your lesson to be eligible for a free online make-up lesson. You can call, text, or respond to a practice email for your convenience!

Please be sure you and your student are ready to begin their lessons at the time we have scheduled. To provide the best instruction during our time, guitars should be tuned, piano books should be ready, and students should be fed, clothed, and otherwise prepared to play music!
In-person lessons are conduced in your house! Therefor:
Be able to share your wi-fi password so I can share digital assets.
Please prepare a distraction-free space for lessons (this will also come in handy for practice).
In the unlikely event that a home is unsafe, I reserve the right to move our lessons to online.
I teach about 46 weeks/year, which means 4 lessons most months. Some months have 3 or 5. I take off one week for spring break, two weeks in the summer, one week for Thanksgiving, and about two weeks around Christmas.
