Trevor Black is a teacher, guitarrist, and composer living in Bremerton, Washington. As a private music instructor and owner of "Lessons With Trevor," he instructs students in their homes around the Puget Sound. He currently teaches guitar, piano, and ukulele, and has students ranging in age from 5 to 55.
Trevor earned a bachelors degree in Music Technology and Composition from Duquesne University, and has dedicated his time to fostering a love of music within his community. Trevor has also studied the Kodaly method of music pedagogy as a classical guitar instructor at Orpheus Academy of Music in Austin, TX, and he has taught music at the RISE Warehouse in Houston and Briar Thomas Conservatory in Puyallup. As a Music Clubhouse Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs, Trevor developed after-school programs to teach music production, songwriting, and performance on guitar, drums, piano, and bass.
When he is not teaching, Trevor writes music and creates sound effects for video games, and scored a 6-episode show which is available through Netflix.
